Editing Fun while at Work

Shazia, the instructional specialist, has given me the task of typing some REALLY old (talking 60s or 70s here) information sheets about punctuation.
I just found a sentence which shows the age of this writing rather nicely:
One of the examples of the semicolon states: He needed butter, for his ham and eggs; jam, for his toast; and his wife, for entertainment while he had breakfast.
I can't wait to see what other gems crop up from the time of non-pc. :D
